Wei Chuan Dragons|A Professional Baseball Legend Rooted in an Eastern Myth
Wei Chuan Dragons goes beyond the definition of a baseball team. It is a cultural symbol, a brand shaped by history, and a carrier of enduring spirit. In the Eastern world, the dragon is not merely a mythical creature. It represents strength, dignity, and honor.
In developing the new brand identity, Daikido Idea Collective reinterpreted this powerful symbol. Rather than relying on conventional or rigid iconography, the team integrated the calligraphic Chinese character for dragon directly into the team emblem. This form was combined with the English word “DRAGONS” to establish a visual core that carries international presence, dynamic energy, and cultural depth.
The calligraphic dragon becomes the foundation of the emblem. It bears responsibility and honor, symbolizing that every step forward taken by the team is firm and unshakable.
Reigniting the Dragon|The Return to the Top League
The year 2021 marked a pivotal moment as Wei Chuan Dragons returned to the first tier of professional baseball. In the annual key visual, red dragon scales symbolize the close unity among players. Vitality, competitiveness, discipline, collective success, and innovation are core values that are embodied by every Dragon on the field.
The newly designed three dimensional team emblem delivers strong visual impact while communicating the brand’s unbreakable strength and determination. Under the leadership of head coach Yeh Chun Chang, the team stood ready to move forward in a renewed form and to write the next chapter of the Dragons’ legacy.
Brand Film|Awakening the Dragon Spirit
Through the brand film, Daikido Idea Collective further deepened the emotional connection between the team and its fans. Rather than simply revisiting past records or achievements, the film adopts a cinematic narrative to convey the momentum of the Dragons’ return.
The new brand identity is woven into the heart of the story. The film concludes with a deep and mysterious dragon’s roar, signaling the continuation of the Dragons’ legend. Although the originally planned third chapter was never completed, the first and second chapters fully expressed the spirit of the team. The dragon spirit endures, and the dragon spirit returns.

The renewed identity and brand narrative of Wei Chuan Dragons demonstrate the depth of professional baseball culture while establishing a lasting emotional bond between the team, its fans, and the brand.
